AR reading lists
The Library will not be renewing our Read The Books AR Reading service when the subscription runs out in July. This means that after July 1st when you go to search the library catalog, you will no longer see “AR Reading List” on the top menu bar. I have checked with the elementary school media coordinators to see if any schools utilize this list/service and no one has responded that they do. I have not yet notified them that our subscription will end in July.
WHY? Because…….
COMING VERY SOON: when you search for books in the catalog, you will be able to see the books Lexile and/or Accelerated Reader (AR) number as part of the catalog record.
- Lexile/AR data will be based on the item’s ISBN number
- It appears that we will be able to search by AR Reading Level or Lexile Measure
- If an item does not have reading level data in the record, then it will not come up when if you are searching by AR Reading Level or Lexile Measure

Check out what a few of our honorary 'cats in hats' had to say about their favorite Seuss characters...
